Historic Photographer of the Year Award 2019 winners announed

Arromanches' Mulberry Harbour by Stéphane Hurel

This Autumn, HISTORY joined forces with Trip Historic to find the most incredible jaw dropping photographs from around the world. Anyone could enter the Historic Photographer of the Year Awards, all you needed was a camera and a brilliant historical location.

From ruined English castles, the Great Wall of China, a ninth-century Buddhist temple and the haunting sea view over an English settlement, here are some of our favourite submissions.
