In a secluded spot of the Uintah Basin in eastern Utah lies possibly the most paranormal place on earth. It’s called Skinwalker Ranch, and has long been associated with spooky goings-on.
In the mid-1990s, Terry and Gwen Sherman bought the 512-acre property but offloaded it just two years later to billionaire Robert Bigelow. The Shermans reported having been creeped out by many suspicious occurrences in the area, including flying blue orbs and cattle mutilations. The Shermans even reportedly came across a terrifying wolf-like creature seemingly impervious to gunfire.
Skinwalker Ranch eventually passed into the hands of businessman Brandon Fugal, who swiftly put together a research team aimed at solving the site’s mysteries. The fruits of their labours can be seen on the hit Sky HISTORY series Curse of Skinwalker Ranch.
The series has been running since 2020 and built up a considerable following in that time. Key to the reality show’s success is the emergence of fan-favourite cast members like physicists Travis Taylor and Erik Bard and superintendent Thomas Winterton.
More than anything, though, it’s their eye-opening discoveries that take centre stage. In the show’s sixth season, the group drill further into the ranch’s rocky Mesa and unearth material that really
shouldn’t be there. Using LiDAR scanning, they also detect a large, invisible ‘Bubble’ potentially responsible for much of the strange activity in the ‘Triangle’ area of the ranch.
How will these investigations develop? It won’t be long before you can find out…
