The Curse of Oak Island

Returning to explore that mysterious island off the coast of Nova Scotia, The Curse of Oak Island season 11 airs Wednesdays at 9pm. The Lagina brothers and the 'Fellowship of the Dig’ are continuing their epic quest to solve a 220-year-old treasure mystery.

By deploying technology like never before, the team hope to get to the bottom of the mystery once and for all. Is it a pirate ship, a Viking hoard, or a lost biblical relic? No one knows, but they are willing to go to extreme lengths to find out.

Speaking to Sky HISTORY ahead of the new series, Rick Lagina explained, ‘I think we perhaps might be on the cusp of – I won't say rewriting history – but putting a new perspective on history as we know it.’

Secrets in the Ice

Secrets in the Ice series three, which starts on Monday, 8th January at 9pm, goes to the most remote, cold and inhospitable place on the planet to reveal great mysteries that were once frozen in time.

Merging CGI re-creations, advanced scanning technology and scientific research, this series investigates the curiosities that have been lost for millennia or even never seen before. So get your warmest coat on this winter to explore the most desolate and distant corners of the planet and contemplate what might still be concealed in the frozen depths.

Truthseekers

Throughout history, certain civilisations, events and objects have fascinated and inspired us to dig deeper, climb higher and go further on our endless quest to uncover the truth. Presented by Dr Fern Riddell and Dr Karen Bellinger, Truthseekers will air from Wednesday, 31st January at 10pm.

This series looks at some of the most iconic mysteries in the whole world. It goes back to the beginning of time to see how myths that have been passed down through time have become some of the greatest mysteries we know today.

The UnBelievable with Dan Aykroyd

Starting on Monday, 19th February at 9pm, The UnBelievable with Dan Aykroyd will open up a cabinet of curiosities to reveal the strangest true stories in human history. Watch as these tantalising tales are brought to life before our very eyes.

From Boston’s Great Molasses Flood to the man who survived being struck by lightning seven times, these seemingly fictitious stories all really happened. It’s a bizarro barrage of people places and events that proves just how weird our world can be.
