After defeating Poland, Hitler turns west, planning an attack on France that exploits a critical weakness in its defences. France is rapidly overrun as new British Prime Minister Winston Churchill scrambles to evacuate Allied troops from the coast. Shocked by the collapse of France, President Roosevelt calls to mobilize the United States while German bombers rain destruction across Britain during the Battle of Britain. But as the Luftwaffe attacks from the skies, Britain refuses to surrender and Roosevelt begins transforming America into the “arsenal of democracy” in the fight against tyranny.
