9/11 - 102 Minutes Inside The Towers

It was the deadliest terrorist attack in the history of the United States. On September 11th 2001, American Airlines Flight 11 and United Airlines 175 smashed into the North and South towers of the World Trade Center in New York City. Just over 100 minutes later, both towers had collapsed. In Washington DC, American Airlines Flight 77 was flown into the side of the Pentagon, collapsing a significant section of the building’s west wall. Finally, in Pennsylvania, United Airlines Flight 93 crashed into a field near the town of Shanksville after passengers on board overpowered the plane’s hijackers. In total, 2,996 died that day. Many more have died in the years since.

Marking the 25th anniversary of 9/11, 102 Minutes Inside The Towers is a powerful account of the tragic events of that day, told from an unprecedented point of view. Following the Emmy Award winning 102 Minutes That Changed America, this documentary shifts that perspective inward, revealing what people inside the buildings saw and heard as events unfolded around them and they raced to survive. Over the course of 102 minutes, first responders and everyday workers lived their own harrowing narratives scattered throughout the buildings.
