Christie + Billy = Chribilly

It was a question that we were all asking throughout the 1980’s. ‘But just who can tame the wild man of rock Billy Joel?’ After years of dating various supermodels and even super-super-models, Christie Brinkley, star of Joel’s Uptown Girl video, finally put a ring on it on this day in 1985. The pair were wed on a boat floating somewhere near the Statue of Liberty and, according to Wikipedia, guests included ‘Paul Simon and The Stray Cats’. Presumably the rock and roll group and not just a load of cats.
