New Blacksmithing and Blade-smithing Series Coming to HISTORY
Forged with Steele will follow the up-and-coming star of English blacksmithing and blade-smithing, YouTube personality Alec Steele, as he recreates a breathtaking array of historic weaponry, in his Norwich forge.
Using his remarkable skills, honed over a decade (Alec started forging when he was only 11 years old), Alec creates weapons that have proved decisive in some of history’s most iconic battles, from the Roman Gladius and Viking Battle Axe, to the Bowie Knife and M9 Bayonet.
Premiering in the UK this October 2018, the series is the companion piece for HISTORY's hit series, Forged in Fire, and puts a young, dynamic talent, at the heart of our schedule.
About Alec Steele
Alec Steele has documented his career by creating videos around his passions for both steelwork and history. In each episode of Forged with Steele, the craftsman will forge an iconic weapon, revealing the historical significance and technical complexity required to create each one. Throughout the series, Steele will bring to life weapons from history including a traditional Japanese Katana sword, a Roman Gladius and even a Scottish Claymore, with viewers observing the process from start to finish – including his struggles, joys and triumphs.
And he was a natural, taking to it like a duck to...slaughter. While brute strength is a bonus in armoured combat, there's a lot of skill required and we put Eddie through a rigorous medieval training routine, just like Rocky but with suits of armour.
You'd need some serious steel cojones to hit Eddie Hall in the face. Even if you were wearing a protective suit of armour would you dare? As Eddie says, 'this really isn't playfighting, these guys are hurting eachother.'

It's not a great surprise to learn that George Lucas based his order of intergalactic warrior monks on the Knights Templar. When you think about it, the Jedi are just Templars in space, with fancier weapons and fancier mind tricks. So it's fitting that The Last Jedi, himself, Mark Hamill is joining Knightfall season 2, playing a Templar Knight - in news that will get fanboys' heads spinning.
Hamill joins the cast as “Talus,” a battle-hardened Knight Templar veteran of the Crusades, who survived captivity for ten years in the Holy Land and is tasked with training the new initiates to the Order. The voice over in this tease reveals Talus’ moral conflict with Landry (Cullen) as a Templar. The sword is the symbol that unites and divides the brotherhood this season, and its flames foreshadow what is to come for the Templars on Friday the 13th. Cullen plays the courageous and headstrong Templar Knight, Landry, who last season we left grief-stricken but hopeful.

Storage Wars host, Dan Dotson has revealed an amazing story about one man's incredible $7.5 million find. The lucky bargain bought a unit for $500 at a sale in Indio, California and when he opened it he discovered a safe stuffed full of cash.
Surprisingly the previous owners of the unit weren't too happy about saying goodbye to such a huge sum. Attorneys for the previous owners soon reached out to them to offer a $600,00 (£465,000), reward to return the cash.
In the true Storage Wars spirit, the new owners weren't ready to accept the first offer and negotiated a fee of $1.2, returning the remaining $6.3 million. That's certainly a healthy profit margin on a $500 investment.
Don't miss out on the brand new Storage Wars, weeknights from 7pm on Blaze.
January 2018 marked 20 years since the start of the investigation that led to only the second impeachment trial in America's history, and the first in the modern era.

The series has exclusive access to Monica Lewinsky, her family and her legal archive which disclose access to some of the other principals in the scandal.
Today, we're pleased to announce the commission of a brand new series, River Hunters for HISTORY featuring Rick Edwards and YouTube River Hunter Beau Ouimette on a mission to find underwater treasure
The eight-part series pairs US YouTube sensation Beau Ouimette, a river detectorist with over 30 years’ experience, with presenter and keen swimmer Rick Edwards, as they search the UK’s waterways for archaeological finds.
River Hunters will see Rick and river-searching expert Beau, visit some of the most historically significant sites across Britain: covering iconic events and battles including Roman Briton, the Wars of the Roses, the Reformation and the English Civil War. Their searches of these unexplored rivers and waterways unearth treasures from the past which reveal how our various ancestors used to live.
As the artefacts surface from under layers of silt and rocks, the duo will meet with local archaeologists and historians to unearth the stories and people behind the finds. Spanning each river’s layered past, the new series will offer a fresh perspective and even redefine our history as we know it.
Using state-of-the-art technology, archive maps and contemporaneous accounts from the period, Beau and Rick perform the first underwater archaeological digs in some of the most exciting and iconic historical sites in Britain, often in dangerous and fast-flowing water.
Co-host, Rick Edwards is super excited about being involved in the show, saying, 'I’m delighted that we’re able to put to bed the idea that it's just shopping trolleys and old bikes in the UK's rivers - we found some truly extraordinary artefacts, bringing whole new perspectives to the stories from our rich past. I also got very cold.'
River Hunters will air on HISTORY in the UK in 2019.
