World War II: German Fuhrer Adolf Hitler survives an assassination attempt by German staff officer Count Claus Schenk Von Stauffenberg, who explodes a bomb inside Hitler's headquarters at Rastenberg in East Prussia. Stauffenberg and his co-conspirators are rounded up and executed.
