Moving house is a logistics nightmare….but imagine the challenge of moving an entire house: fixtures, fittings, brick walls, chimney, windows and roof wholesale, through a major city, over a mountain range or across a frozen lake! That’s the kind of impossible feat tackled by teams of Building Movers in the exciting engineering show, Monster Moves.

Each week, teams of movers race against time to move monstrous structures, mammoth mansions, tall towers, supersize ships, colossal cathedrals, massive machines, historic halls, long loads, huge hotels….no structure is off limits!

The movers are big thinking risk-takers who work off gut instincts rather than torturously calculated math. They slice and dice mansions with chain saws, hoist church spires with helicopters, haul locomotives with bulldozers, and risk life and limb crawling underneath masonry buildings suspended in the air.

The moves involve mind-boggling engineering and logistical nightmares. Loose towers and walls need securing, roofs dismantling, precious windows preserving, floors strengthening, chimneys bracing, roads widening and trees, signs and bus stops hauled out of the tight route.... All in a days work for the Monster Moves team!
