Meet the Team

A relative newcomer to the art of restoration, Brettly does most of the sandblasting and other miscellaneous tasks around the shop.

Though he has a reputation for letting his mind wander when he should be focusing on a project, Brettly asks plenty of questions and cares about his work. When he’s off the clock, he’s a budding guitar player who dreams of becoming a rock star.

Kelly runs Rick’s operation from behind the scenes. From payroll and budgets to dealing with customers and ordering parts, she handles everything on the business side of the shop.

She’s also Brettly’s mum and the woman featured in the Rick’s Restorations logo.

Rick Dale is an expert restorer of classic objects and artefacts with nearly 30 years in the business and his own shop in Las Vegas, Nevada, Rick's Restorations. Rick has built his career on an unbridled passion and unique skill for transforming the rustiest and most beat-up items into like-new products that can fetch a big price tag.

He doesn't shy away from a challenge and has worked on items as varied as a beaten-down 1940’s gas pump, a rusted-out 1950’s soda machine and a classic jukebox with a complex mechanical design, upping the value by restoring them to mint working condition.

Rick isn't just an exceptional craftsman--he is also a businessman who must manage the big personalities of his employees, many of whom are his own family members. At the age of 9, Rick took on his first restoration project, revitalising a beat-up bicycle that was a gift from his father. He hasn't looked back since.
 

Rick's son Tyler is in training to take over the family business and while he has learned most of the restoration techniques needed to do the labour, he still has a lot to learn about the day-to-day operations of the shop. Tyler will take on more responsibility as Rick teaches him the tricks behind running a successful business.

Kowboy is the shop's resident grouch but while he may be rough on the outside, he is a true craftsman at heart and takes pride in everything he restores.

Rick's younger brother Ron manages all deliveries and offsite errands that require a lot of independent time away from the shop, which might get him in to trouble with the boss.

Kyle is one of the most skilful and loyal workers at the shop. The go-to guy when things get tough, he’s in charge of reassembling Rick’s projects and putting on the finishing touches.

Kyle drives Kowboy to work each day, and the two are not just co-workers but also good friends. As a team, they make an unstoppable duo.
