The RAF Benevolent Fund
Heartfelt Thanks Campaign

This November the nation will stop to remember all those who have given their lives in the service of their country. Of course, all three services deserve our thoughts and prayers at this time, but in this Battle of Britain 70th anniversary year we should be sure to consider the contribution made by the Royal Air Force.
If it were not for the courage and dedication to duty of those that fought the battle it is very possible that Britain would have been overwhelmed by the worst kind of tyranny. It represents an extraordinary moment in our history, and one that should not be forgotten.
In order to remember those who fought the battle, and to express appreciation to those serving in the RAF today, why not take part in our “Heartfelt Thanks” campaign?
The campaign, launched by TV presenter Lorraine Kelly in June, gives you the chance to write your own personal message of thanks to members of the RAF, both past and present. This is easily done online at www.rafbf.org/thanks.
Thousands of messages have already been collected, creating an invaluable public document of remembrance, acknowledging what Winston Churchill called “The Debt We Owe” to the remarkable men and women of the Royal Air Force. Why not visit the site today and give your own Heartfelt Thanks? We would welcome your contribution.

The RAF Benevolent Fund (RAFBF)
We are the RAF's leading welfare charity providing practical, financial and - in some cases - emotional support to all members of the RAF family, from childhood through to old age.
We help with issues from childcare and relationship difficulties to injury and disability, and from financial hardship and debt to illness and bereavement.
We spend £21 million a year supporting serving and former RAF personnel and their families. If you would like to learn more about our work, or about how you can support us, visit www.rafbf.org
