“Any fool can make history, but it takes a genius to write it.”
Oscar Wilde
Jo writes about history every day and she loves it! She isn’t a genius, even if she’d like to think so sometimes, but she loves the fun side of history, especially the amazing and often amusing Did You Know…? type stories she discovers.
Jo really enjoyed getting mucky with the Mud Men on the Thames when she interviewed them about their excellent show, and likes to get her hands dirty in a more metaphorical way, digging around in the archives for the best photos of her home town for The History of London.
Jo loves to stretch out in front of the TV to watch any HISTORY show, especially with a nice glass of wine and dinner made from the veggies her lovely husband grows in their garden. She would offer to help with the weeding, but she’s far too busy exploring the History of the US or trying to work out who actually killed Kennedy.
Jo cannot understand why Kate likes to cycle so much when there are perfectly good buses available, but does swim a couple of times a week to work off the homemade bread she likes to bake.
Jo's pick: Mud Men
Johnny and Steve are a couple of old, rather mucky, friends that I look forward to seeing every week. And I have got rather a soft spot for Stolli. The dog. Not the vodka. Tuesdays at 10pm ...
