This year marks 100 years since the Russian Revolution, an event that changed the course of history. Fought out between two groups, Lenin’s Ulyanov’s and the Tsar’s Romanovs, the battle would lead to assassinations, executions and a daring seizure of power.

The entire course of world history was changed and the stage for Stalin was set, cue a direct line from WW2 to the Cold War to today’s hostilities between Russia and the U.S.

On the centenary of the revolution, we’ve put together a one-off special which reveals the story of the brutal overthrow of one of the world’s oldest autocratic monarchies.

You can watch the programme on Tuesday 3rd of October at 9pm, but in the meantime, here is the trailer.
